The organization has been working for the new life of intellectual disabled making them rehabilitate in the family as well as in the community.

To make the objectives of the organization come true, we have been regularly operating the following programs.

Day care Center:
There is a Day Care Center where the students come to the center in only day time. They learn as the schedule in this center. The students stay here for 6 hours i.e. 10 AM to 4 PM in a day. Mainly, they learn educational activities, behavioral activities, intellectual functions, activities of self reliant etc. They also get regular training of speech therapy, physiotherapy. Besides these athletics, cultural functions also are included in Day Care Center.

Home Visit Program:
This program covers the persons who are specially in the remote area. Those persons are not able to come to the Day Care Center regular because of the far distance and having multi-disabilities. We have been providing regular service for such persons meeting at their own home individual. We have problems to give service all of the contacted persons with our limited man power and resource. So the program is lunched in the selected area near the city. In Home visit program, the teachers go to door to door of the children in a schedule. Teachers teach the children as well as to the guardians about teaching method to their children. Actually, it is tried to make as the teacher the parents. Secondly, it is tried to create adequate environment for them in the family and society.

The Home Visit program is not only for teaching the children but also to make good environment in the society for their rehabilitation and their life of dignity.

Counseling Program:
This program provides the service for those persons and parents who cannot join neither Day Care nor Home Visit service. Mainly the guardians come to the center with their children. They get advice, teaching technique, teaching materials in the program. They come to the center frequently.

In the above three programs the children are directly benefited. We work with them by touching individual. Secondly there are the following programs have been continued:

Awareness:
The organization works for the awareness of mental retardation in the family, society and in the whole nation. The awareness program helps us to run our program successfully. On the other hand, the mentally retarded get good environment in the society for their development. Specially, we do aware the people through poster, pamphlets, handouts, rally, street drama, convention and conference in the school, collages, markets, gatherings and so on. Mainly, it is made aware the people on the mental retardation, their education, the responsibility of family, society as well as government.

Advocacy:
There are some advocacy groups of parents. Different parents groups have different advocacy groups. In a whole, there is a single group. They work for the rights of M/R in various ways. This unit works independently but they get help with us if needed.

The advocacy groups work for the over all development of M/R persons as well as for the right basis issues.

Rehabilitation:
Though there are lots of goals to catch on in the life of this organization. In a hand, we have been focused on in the sector of rehabilitation. The adults are getting regular service from here. They are trained in the vocational job as their interest and capacity. Such as some of the adults have been working in this period on goat and pig keeping, farming, envelop, candle, incense stick making, tailoring, knitting bag and so on.

The adults work and earn some money by their vocational job which helps them to get the life of dignity in the society. Actually it disseminates the good message in the society.

The mild adults have been rehabilitated in various sectors as their capacity and interest. We have made trained them in the selected job.

In this period some adults are rehabilitated in Goat keeping and Pig keeping though the parents help them to work but we are satisfied that they are engaged in a job. Secondly, tailoring is the popular and success business for them.

We also help the children to establish on their business. Some of them are from very poor families. So, there is project for rehabilitation. Now there is goat relay program where the adult get goat from school and it returns a baby goat later to the school which is provided to another one.

Secondly, we also help for rehabilitation financially if we get special donation. We have some financially poor adults who need some help to be rehabilitated.

Special Olympics:

Special Olympics is the game for intellectual disabled persons. Accordingly, the Special Olympics International established in the middle of 1960s and Special Olympics Nepal in 1987. The program has spread to more than 170 nations with the membership o well over 2 million athletes with the tied of SOI. SON offers a variety of 5 sports (athletics, football, motor activities, training program, boccee and table tennis). More than 2400 intellectually disabled athletes play.

The main goal of this program is to help them participate as productive and respected members of society, by offering them a fair opportinity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports competition.

They have physical, mental and social development by getting continue participated. This organization also follows the SON. The players have been participating in the national games. The organization has produced numbers  of players in its journey. It organizes loal and regional games in various times. The organization has provided good opportunity to be exposed in the society with their capability.

Future Plan:

• Manage vehicle to collect the children for Day Care.

• To run the business of envelop of recycled paper.

• To get the regular government support.

• To develop it as the research center.

• To commence a large vocational center where the huge number of adults could get job and earn as well.

• To start inclusive education in local government school.
